Hello ladies  Happy new year
I am looking into doing both chinese med & acupunture to see if it helps me to get a BFP. I am tired of just waiting for it to happen, i need to take action now to increase my chances otherwise i never will.
Sorry :ecomcity:
Ok Question is, is anyone doing any of these at the moment and do you think it works/helps.
And does anyone know of any good ones, i live near Penrith NSW.
Thanks for your help, i hope 2007 will be great for all us here:yes: :fingerscrossed:
Hi there
I was having some weird cycles with long LPs and had been ttc for 6 mths with no luck so decided to see a chinese herbalist. This is my third month on the herbs, i had acupuncture the first 2 months and had perfect little cycles, this month i missed my acupuncture and i'm having another weird cycle.
I think im rambling a bit here, but what i was trying to say was that the acupuncture and herbs worked really well together (i'm still not quite sure how tho!!) to balance out my cycle and i will definitely be getting my acupuncture next month!!
Feel free to ask me about it all. I'm really happy with how its been going - i wasnt convinced the acupuncture did anything until i missed it this month!! D'oh! HTH.

I've been doing acupuncture for a few months and finally had a relatively normal cycle this month after 7 months of long cycles. I've just started Chinese herbs so it's too soon to see if that's helping yet. I've also started clomid (can you tell I'm getting desperate?)
Mel and Tommsmum, What days in your cycle do you have accupuncture is there like a patttern we should follow ? I was thinking I might have some 7 days before O and then 7 days later at around implantation time ? ???

Thanks for your replys guys.
Mel79, Wow it must really work then if u missed one month and look what happens, at least u know it does help u. I have a pretty normal cycle 26-28 days but it has been weird since my last m/c in march sorry TMI getting some blood clots each month and a bit more period pain which rangers some months all is good then some months i get bad pain and alot of clots. Hope u get a :bfp: soon :fingerscrossed:
Does u feel the acupunture needles much ?
tomsmum, dont worry we all get desparate at some stage. i have reached that stage right now:yes: i hope u have some luck soon.:fingerscrossed:
Hi Bunny.
We TTC'd for 10 months before getting our first BFP, only to have a m/c at 5 weeks. Several months later we still hadn't got another BFP, and I was starting to get desperate, so I tried chinese medicine/accupuncture. I don't know whether it was a coincidence or not, but on my 2nd month, I got my BFP. I was taking a variety of herbs during the month, and then once I got my BFP, I was taking different herbs to make it stick (I'm now almost 10 weeks).
I'd recommend accupuncture, because I think more than anything, it helped me to relax and not stress so much about TTC.
I'm a needle phobic (I faint whenever I get blood tests), so if there's anyone that would be hesitant about accupuncture needles, its me. But it was fine. No, they don't hurt. They move the needles around when they are in and this is a very weird sensation - not pleasant, but not painful either.

Hey chicken, i have been following ur story here on bubhub, i am glad that it has finally happened for u:yes: . It's funny that the needles dont hurt, i am not afraid of them anymore. When i lost the first one i hated needles but u have to get used to them, u dont really have a choice do u:rolleyes: plus i have a - blood group which means more needles:eek: .
Now i just have to find where i can go.
All the best for the rest of ur pregnancy.
I did both Accupuncture and CHM for a few months early on in TTC trying to get a cycle back after going off of the pill. I stopped when I was diagnosed with PCOS as in the past months I had not seen any improvement (I still had no cycle at all) and it was getting pretty expensive. I personally dont feel that it would have helped me with my cycles because of the PCOS, i just dont think its something that can be corrected by them. With my PCOS I dont O at all or have any kind of a cycle with bleeding or anything... maybe I was just in the 'too hard basket'!
Bunny - with the clots - my herbalist gave me some herbs to help clear out my system which gave me a few clots the first month but then went back to normal, so ask about it and they will give you something to help with that. My AF was also quite painful, and I've found that taking fish oil has helped that, now i only get pain on first day of AF.
I was actually really nervous about the needles, for some reason i thought that they put them in & twisted them hard, but its really gentle and nice and you feel so relaxed after it.
Good luck with your :bfp: .

That sounds pretty good to me - i usually get my acupuncture in the week before O.

Acupuncture/herbs worked a treat for me! I highly recommend it. I was having problems with abdominal pain due to PID, scar tissue and wrecked fallopian tubes and my acupuncturist managed to get rid of my pain and get me a BFP in two months!
