ok.... i am need of some really good advice, i have a blended family a son who is 5 who is from a previous relationship that went wrong, and a son of 18 months, who's father i am now married to with one on the way which is due in May.
DS1 is a very full on kid who starts grade one next term. he is a jealous little boy, who if doesnt get his own way screams at the top of his lungs!!
He is constantly rude to my husband, who thinks the world of him, and does so much for him. He is constantly kicking, hitting and pulling his little brother around. Its not like he doesnt get any attention as he does when he is just one on one he is such a good kid. I just dont know what to do anymore... helllpppppp:crying:

Everyday takes strength with my little prince too...hav u read those super nanny books...they really are a good help

Give choices and b consistent..when he starts that behaviour he must b given a choice...tell him the choice

if u continue to stamp your foot mummy will put u in the room...if u r a good boy we can.....(a minute for each age of the child eg. 4 yrs 4 mins) continue to do this over and over...it will work

When i first started this i even had to buy special door handles for my son to stop him getting out...i also had to remove all of his toys from his room and gradually return them.

I use behaviour reward charts...stickers...we hav a visual timetable for him so he understand his routine...i hav a lot of his room organised with pictures so he understands his instructions...break everything down for him...

it is exhausting and it may be something that cannot be "fixed" but some of our little darlings are just like this way...we need to help them cope in the world

good luck..pm me if u need anymore advice:yes:

thanks so much... its nice to know im not alone!! i have just bought the super nanny book and am just about to read it!!!
hopefully this will work! all we can do is try.

i think its time to remove all toys from his room, because i send him there and he just plays, so its not a punishment as such.
again thanks and i will keep you informed of jacks progress!
