My DD is 14 weeks old now.. she's a joy to have around loving every moment.. the thing is she is completely different from my son, my Boy was a big baby and i had real difficulties with breast feeding so he was bottle fed and started farex early..

now my Daughter is 14 weeks is happliy breast fed and content, she wakes up 1 or 2 times a night and feeds every 2 hour during the day. she only sleeps 3 short naps a day and She watches what i eat all the time now and i like she is ready for something else maybe in a couple of weeks.. this is new teritory for me do i give her farex mixed with breast milk or formula does it make a difference? or do i start her on rice ceareal?

Any advice would be good

The very strong recommendations from doctors, experts, etc is that you should wait until 6 months before starting solids. If DD is happy and feeding well, she doesn't need rice cereal yet. The fact that she is showing interest in your food doesn't meant that she is ready for it yet.

Once she is old enough to start on solids, then a couple of things to note - rice cereal is better to start off than the mixed grain farex, but farex is a brand name and they also make rice cereal (just to confuse us!). If she is breast fed then start off by mixing it with breast milk as that is the flavour she is used to, and it also means that if she reacts to anything you will know that it is the food, not the newly introduced formula.

I agree. She sounds like a happy contented baby. Breastfeeding is just so easy, so if it is not totally necessary for her to start solids, even easier for you!
The Dr recommended to me to start DS on solids earlier due to reflux. We gave it a go, but didn't help his reflux, so we stopped.
