I need some advice. i have had 2 ectopic pregnancies and as a result have only one tube left that is blocked. have good fertility otherwise.
Do u think that we would have to go through IVF. My doctor said that we may only have to have my eggs implented in my uterus, and then go home and try to fall kinda naturally.
Is this the same as IVF or is it same concept only different procedure.????????????
Would anyone have any idea of cost?

I can tell you it is not ivf, with ivf they place the embryo back into the uterus so it has already been fertilised. I am guessing they would do a similar procedure though, you would go on the drugs to produce extra eggs, they would do the egg collection, then only place the eggs back. I am only guessing here.

I have know idea what your procedure would cost but my ivf procedure at the qld fertility group cost about $4200 and you get alot of that back from medicare.

Yes, that is what I paid for the ivf cycle, if you have private health, they cover your day surgery and your drs management bills are seperate. If you have any eggs to be frozen, the qfg charge $150 every 6 months.

Every association is different so I would talk to your fertility dr about the cost.
