Hiya
I know the old KILOS issue comes up in a few posts, but mostly I'm reading that people are losing kilos due to ms..... I am really curious (mostly for reassurance!!) as to how your weight is going..!
This is my first pregnancy, and I've had pretty bad morning sickness for the last 7 weeks but, at 13 weeks I think it's easing off (YEEEEAAAH!!) :) .
Anyhow, despite this, I've stll gained 3 kilos (6lbs) and am worried that's too much...
How about you guys? I'd love to find out!
Thanks
Liz x
Dont be too worried, i have put on 2 kgs since week 5, and im 11 weeks preg.
But in the month leading up to getting preg i had also put on 1 kg.
So i suppose its a total of 3kg over normal weight, but only 2 kg since finding out.
Its not gaining it that im too worried about, its making sure it all comes off

In my first pregnancy I didnt put on any weight till I was 20weeks.....then i stacked on nearly 30kg!!!
U may gain more now but slow down later on. Everyones bodies are different. In books the average is said to be 12-15kg.....some people gain alot more, others gain less. Some people all retain alot of fluid.
I actually have lost 1kg since getting pregnant (Im 12weeks) but my weight is so up and down. Im just eating well and hoping for the best!!

I have a great way to solve you worrying about weight during pregnancy...
don't weigh yourself!
I am very happy to be looked after midwives who are more concerned about how your baby is going and how you are feeling than how much you are weighing. They never weigh you, the whole pregnancy!
This is what i have done the last two pregnancies, and what i will do this time. I'd rather go by how i'm feeling than what the scales are saying!

Mummajessy you are right I know we shouldn't weigh ourselves as it just makes you worry unneccasarily.
BUT............ I still do it anyway lol!!
Last pregnancy I gained weight almost instantly, only a couple of kilos and I gained a total of 10kgs all up in pregnancy.
This time I have managed to lose 3-4kgs (I'm 10 1/2 weeks) despite not having serious m/s ( I feel really sick but dont actually:barf: ) so it's a bit of a mystery and I'm not too concerned at this stage unless it continues to drop steadily, which it doesn't appear to be doing. It has remainded steady for a couple of weeks now.
I guess our bodies each react differently to pregnancy and also can react differently from one pregnancy to the next so who knows what's normal lol!!!

I haven't had MS and I've gained 2 kilos so far. I have been trying to eat relatively healthy food rather than count calories - I'll just have to undo any "damage" later!!
i have gained 3 kgs so far
No weight gain so far, did the same with DS and only put on 8 kgs all up. BTW I don't have m/s but I am overweight to start with. After having DS I lost 3 kgs without trying and kept it off.

I have Issue's with the whole wieghing business!
I'm a recovered Anorexic Bulemic and have trouble with gaining wieght! This is so hard for me! The whole wieght gain business!
I find the best thing is not to think about it or wiegh yourself!
But from reading books and that the Normal is 10 - 12kgs It also depends on the build of the person?
