Hi everyone i was just wondering if anyone has knowen anyone who has fallen prg while been on implanon i have been on it for 7 months now but latly have been real tired and really moody and cry over anything and i have put on 2 kg to me i feel prg but its hard to think i am if taking somthing to stop it. :eek:

i have heard of lots of people falling pregnant on the implanon sorry to say.. but i would just do an home pregnancy test.. i had the implanon for about a year and i was real moody and i did put on weight too and would cry over everything and wasnt pregnant it is one of the side effects of having it...

but hope you feel better soon...

I would say if in doubt do a pregnancy test!

But on the other hand when i had the implanon i was a fair cow! Moody, crying weight gain etc.... So maybe it's just the implanon!!!

Hi Monique- i only recently had implanon taken out, i only had it in for 5 weeks and i hated it! I was just soooo moody and bled the whole 5 weeks :eek: .In the pamplet you get with implanon it said you tests confirmed that there has been no pregnancy while on implanon! I havent heard of anyone falling on inplanon, but no contraception is 100% and like Belinda said she has hear of people falling on implanon so it must be possilble. Were you planning anymore kids?

no i wasnt planing and more chidlren for while thats why i was went on inplanon i did the prg test it said i wasnt preg so witch is good for us for now cause at the moment we are trying to bring up 4 girls under 5 so it wont be a while yet we do want a nirther one cause we would love a boy. but next week im getting it taken out cause i cant handly how moody i am my poor family have been putting up with my moods so out it comes anyway thanks girls for your info it really helped :)

hey Monique, i was like the biggest ***** this side of the black stump! and that was only after 5 weeks of having it in! Wow 4 girls, under the age of 5 ! that must be hard work, but rewarding at the same time, and they will all be best friends and be very close when they grow up. I think its a good idea for you to get implanon out especially when your rasieing your girls plus having something in your arm that controls your moods. Then when you feel like your ready, maybe your son will be concieved! Best of luck sweet!

My daughter is 19yrs old and had the inplanon procedure. She chose the implanon because it was suggested by the Health Dept she had went to. Three months after having it inserted into her arm she found out she was pregnant. She had to get it removed because of the pregnancy and said it felt she was being butched when having it removed. She isn't ready for a baby but abortion was not an option she wanted, so she is having the baby and has excepted her motherhood fate. Do'es the implanon have any negative effects on the fetus?
