what do i do with

we just got ds2's permit as ds1 hasnt had to get oen yet i am unsure of what i do with ds2's permit do i need to show it to the employers or would they have a copy?:confused:

Jess, the permits are just for your file only. You dont need to show them as they are a copy. They send a copy to the client and one to you for your records. This just means that the client (TArget, Kmart or whoever has it written out to) have your approval to photograph him for their advertising purposes. You need one for each client that will use him. You do not need one if your ds is not working for that client yet. I'd say that you have had this one done because he was sent for a casting. If he were to get the job it would save them a lot of time waiting for a permit to come through. KMart, Target, Spotlight all have permenant permits for 12mths. Most smaller clients like Run Scotty Run etc dont. They will just ask you to fill one out on the day. Some clients dont use them at all but a good agent will ask for them to be done anyway.

Oh and for ds2, if you have filled out a permit and sent it off, it's probably out there somewhere waiting to be sent back. They just haven't needed to yet. Just email Caroline and ask if she knows where it is. I'm sure she'll either have it there and not sent it, or it'll still be with the Child Services.

thanks its ds2 who has the permit. ds1 hasnt got his yet. but we havent needed it so not too worried. i have a habit of losing things so i was a bit "oh no what if i lose it and they ask to see it":laughing: :rolleyes:
