Could this be my period already?

HI there!

I have a nearly 12 week old and am breastfeeding and think my period may have just started? I was expecting it to take much longer.....Could this affect my breastmilk or should I check with my doc?

It could very well be your period. I am bf too and got my period back early. It was about two weeks after my discharge had stopped, and I have got one every month since - Maggie is now nearly four months. The first one was probably the most heaviest period that I have had in my life, :eek: but the ones since then have been more like spotting or the end of a normal period.

I found that Maggie feed differently, she was squirmy and would pull on and off more that usual but it wasn't to bad, an interesting couple of days you get through it, I think the taste of the milk changes due to hormones? I'm not really sure. But if it worries you check with you M&CHN or doctor. :)
