Yay Miss Kitty
:cloud9:

Our hay season finished on monday BUT the $500 header is now out of the shed & gleaning all of DHs undivided attention:banghead:.
Oh he thought it would be good to try it out on a neighbours tiny little oat crop.
So he's still out til way after dark (10pm now, bl00dy DLS) & he's unable to have a conversation with me without taking things the wrong way.

Anyway, Miss Kitty, you must be wrapped. I hope you have a fantastic time in Perth & I hope the weather is kind to you.

Well since the last time i was here , I've stabbed a cow (she had bloat & I now have a rep at the local saleyards for stabbing cows unmercifully), the cow died (not cause I stabbed it but a twisted bowl)
My beautiful boy graduated from kindy & had a fantastic portfolio The first line of his teachers comment is 'Our 'little professor' is always deep in thought , constantly amazing us with his worldly wisdom.'
He did fantastically well for his first year.
My gorgeous girl was awarded the achievement award for her class which was a trophy. She also had a glowing report & has topped all but 2 of her subjects.
I'm very proud of both of them.
My DSS hasn't done so well with school & as a consequence his Mum has taken away all of his music gear for 3 months+ plus cancelled his school music for next year. Needless to say Rob is not happy with his ex.
Rob & I know the best way to get results with DSS is to give him incentive, not threaten to remove the dearest thing to his heart. So I'll be interested to hear her side of the story & see the fallout from this one. She wouldn't let DSS live with us because he was doing so well in school. Well now he's not...

What else??? Oh I have chickens in my incubator which are hatching as I type. I have Rhode island reds, New Hampshires & blue & Black Australorps.
# RIRs & 1 NH are out so far.

The kids have started their xmas craft, painting 4 cups so far. I'll start another thread & post pics of them later.

Anyway , I'd better go,the little one is tired & the house still won't clean itself:rolleyes:.
Catchya soon.

:gloomy: Just letting you all know that my little dog 'Charlie' died last night.

He went walk about the night before with our big dog and they came back on dark. I was so P!ssed off with them that I locked them in their pen and left them there for the night.

Came back in the morning and Charlie was flat on the ground...

6 paralasis ticks, 4 engorged 2 just started to suck. Rushed him to the vet and they kept him in for the night, but he died that night.

I got him when my doctor switched on to my depression and he has helped me though a lot. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do. I know he's only a dog, but he ment alot more to me.

I'm pretty broken up about him, we buried him in the yard this morning. (I know I'm supposed to be a rough country chic, but I'm a softy at heart for my animals)

This one's for you Cha-Cha (http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa154/BiNdI86/Nappies108.jpg) :hugs::(

Oh Bindi, My warmest :hugs:'s to you. I remember when you got him & when you posted his pics. He looked like a real charecter even as a pup. I didn't realise the significance of him helping you through your depression journey. Maybe, if you haven't already you could plant a flowering plant or tree on him so he can keep cheering you up when you visit his grave. :hugs: .
I'm so sorry hun & hey even my tough farmer hubby cries when we loose a beloved pet or doggy workmate. (don't tell him I told you that :o) so cry all you want & share with us even if it seems like a petty thing. If somethings upsetting you , we're here for you.

thanks Flogg :hugs: that means the world to me.

The flower idea is great, I'm going to use it. I just can't think straight at the moment.

Poor Pyro (our other dog) he treated Charlie like his baby, he used to eat almost everything in his bowl and leave the last bit for Charlie (this from a dog that wouldn't chew and would vaccume everything if he caught wind of another dog around!) or worse...he'd let charlie eat first!!

They slept together and everything, he's been howling all day and pacing the area's they used to lay. We went out and got Pyro a christmas present today:o (lots of treats) and I've made a rule that he can sleep inside on Christmas Eve.

Oh you & your poor Pyro.
I hope you can help each other through your grief:hugs:.
Sounds like you need to comfort each other being Charlies 2 bestest friends.
Goodnight Bindi.
Thinking of you:hugs:

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas.
We got home yesterday, exhausted!

Angus & I had the luxury of going to the pub (actually both of them) in my home town Christmas Eve once the children were asleep at Mum & Dad's. We caught up with a heap of people and saw some local lads' band- which was great.

Hugh got a Honda motorbike from father Christmas & John Deere tractor from his grandparents:D (http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n11/kazcrawf/Chritmas07008.jpg)

We were at my bro & his finance's for a beautiful lunch Christmas Day (http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n11/kazcrawf/Chritmas07017.jpg)- the veges were so yummy- an advantage of going to a vegetarian's for a roast dinner :D
Then later that night Angus, Pearl & I went down the beach (the one in my avatar)- Hugh was asleep at home with his granny.

Boxing Day we went back to the beach- it's about 10 mins from the farm. Hugh had his first swim in the sea- and loved it! (http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n11/kazcrawf/Chritmas07050.jpg)

Then it was off to Angus' Mum's place near the River Murray. As the rest of the country, I think, SA is roasting too. Hugh had a dip in the ice bucket. (http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n11/kazcrawf/Chritmas07054.jpg)

Hey lovely girls!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all - here's to rain (at the right time) and good prices for stock and grain and health and happiness!

Bindi - I'm so sorry to hear about Charlie - it just breaks your heart when you lose such a special friend:hugs:

All is good here, well, it's hot and I'm big and I strongly dislike my MIL but apart from that:D. I just wanted to check in and say hello.

xxxxxxxx

Great to hear from everyone over the christmas break.

I hope all the preggy bellies are doing well (and the mummies attatched to them:p)

Well, christmas was great, the girls were spoilt rotten. We had Christmas at (now wait for the mouthful)....Trent's Aunty's In Laws house. They are great family friends and only have 6 grandsons, so the girls were a HUGE HIT (and extra spoilt!!) even all the boy grandsons (ages 20 - 6) were fighting for both girls attention

We had a fantastic and relaxing day, then off to my parents for boxing day, which wasn't as good as planned (picture family yelling match  and me punching a door:o) It started between dad and my older brother...ahh the joys of working closely with family.

Everyone is over it now (except SIL, who started the whole thing) and back to normal, I just wish that stupid b#%$# didn't have to start it all on boxing day, any other day would have been fine.

I hope you all had a great time over christmas and new year.

oh and Alexis is sitting up and belly crawling as of the 1/1/08 :smiliedance: and loving her food!!
