Hi ladies,

I am contemplating whether to have my nuchal scan and blood test. I am currently carrying twins, and have had some bleeding which I guess could indicate problems. My Doctor told me if I have the scan and something is wrong it will wreck my whole pregnancy, especially if there is something wrong with one and not the other. I truly don't believe I could terminate, but I am my husbands carer (he has had a bone marrow transplant) and I already find thsi exhausting with a 16 month old how would i cope with a child with health issues. I guess that is what I am trying to work out.

I don't think it will wreck the pregnancy, but it will give you time to prepare if there is something wrong. I had one done with DS2 for this reason, i wanted to know what help would be available to me, if there was something wrong, i wanted to find out as much as i could about it, etc.

Congratulations on the twins :yelclap: Have a great pregnancy.

Same here.
And bleeding does not always mean something is wrong with bub. I bled with Bella and this one

Yup, just what has been already said. We had the scan done so that if there was something wrong, we could do our research and find out more info. I think that to have a child with a disability arrive with no warning would be daunting, but to know in advance you could help aleviate any fears you have about dealing with it. JMO.

And i know of a few people who had bleeding in pregnancy & bubs was just fine.
