I'm keen to find out opinions from other mums about working from home. Does anyone do it, and do you try to work with kids at home or do you put them in child care? How many hours do you work and what times of the day? Is it successful/does it work well? Cheers

I work in the office 2 days and from home the rest of the time. most work gets done when Maiky is sleeping as she is 2.5, if i really need to get something done urgently i will switch on the big babysitter and let her watch little einsteins or shrek. Its hard to juggle and you often get distracted with the housework etc and. I FORGET TO BATHE sometimes until i am cooking dinner, ha ha ha..........

I work full time from home with my own business - with kids. My hours are erratic (ie not 9-5) as I work around them & their sleep times. I have one kid in childcare when the other was in kinder. Next year it will be school/daycare. This is mostly so I get a break (I'm a single mum and need some me time)

It does take some work, but for me it's been successful. My business is doing really well.

I hope this answers all your questions :)

I also work from home and like Missie K my oldest son will be going to school and my other son will be (and has been) going to child care for 2 days per week. I also work during sleep times but those days will soon be over! I probably work around 4 nights a week. This has meant my partner has to do the general end of day tidy up and either cook or clean.

4 year old DS1 has a rest in the middle of the day so I can get some work done. Usually he lies down with a video - because I need the break (he is very active)... so even though he doesn't sleep during the day, I still get some work done :)
