Australian Idol

No one has started a thread on this yet. Please tell me someone else watches it?! I only watch the performance shows and the end of the Monday night show. I hate how they drag it out and get bored with the Monday show so just watch the end. Who do you think is going to win? I like Emily and Dan (dreadlocks).

I love Idol but like you only watch the sunday and monday shows!

I hope Dan & one of the girls (like them both just the same) are in the final two. I can't stand Lee!!!!

I also only watch the sunday and monday shows when DH lets me have the TV. DH is one of these channel surfers who as soon as an ad comes on he starts flicking through the channels and i end up missing half of my shows that I watch. The other week I missed on seeing Emily sing cause he was channel surfing so i got really annoyed with him and told him that if it happens again i will be hiding the remotes whenever I am watching my shows.

Someone told me yesterday that there was a stuff up with the votes this week and that are having to be recounted so Danial Spillane could still be in the running. Not sure if its true or not as I havent heard or read anything about it.

UPDATE...

I just checked out the AI website and on their forum page there was big discussions yesterday about the votes. Apparently ppl voting for Daniel, Lee and Emily kept having there votes rejected. The reason Legionaire (Ch10) has given is that it was too congested to receive all votes.

I think that if it was that congested then they should have extended the voting closing time.

Yep, I like the show too, but it does get a bit tedious. The last 10mins of monday night is enough + the sunday show. I like seeing their performances and what they wear. The girls look so lovely this time.

I love Australian Idol too and have watched all three series. I really liked Anne and was gutted when she was voted out before Lee, Daniel etc. I would have liked to see some 'woman power' with her and Emily being the final two, I hope Emily wins this year.

Check out the Aust Idol site http://australianidol.bigpond.com.au/ for all the goss. I'd love to see Emily win, she's a great singer. I reckon Kate's days are numbered, although I like her. Daniel Spillaine was a bit annoying - too nicey airey fairy pansy for me. (Geez, I'm soo critical)

I love Dan I think the best. I could easily sit down & listen to a whole album of his. Emily second!! She has an amazing voice...she will hit the big time if not here - OS!!
I'm with the crowd though... Lee is not that good!! I think that he is a bit of a try hard & he's getting all the teenie bobby votes!! Not mine that's for sure!!

I reckon Emily will win this year...I like Dan, but Emily has a really strong voice and has the look too. Daniel Spillane pinged me off, he was just too nice and i think a bit up himself too. God, I'm picky! I only watch Sundays show (if i'm allowed, if not i watch it on Monday's repeat show...) and the very end of Monday's show (why do they make it an hour long for god sake?)

I'm so glad other people watch Idol - not just me and DH and a group of teeny-boppers!! ha ha!!
I'm putting my money on Emily - she is an amazing singer, and has a lot of stage presence. I think Dan England is very good too, however, he always looks a bit uncomfortable up on stage, so in that sense Emily has it over him.
I like watching the performance shows, but am spared the tedium of Monday night and the endless "we'll find out...just after the break" because that's when I go to yoga. So I get on the computer afterwards and go to the Idol site to see who went.

American Idol is weird. Some weeks they would drag it out a little and other weeks they would just say this person is gone and not have a bottom 3. They used to get the person who left to sing until contestants started to complain and say they didn't want to! But they never had a full on show like we do. It is so stupid to drag it out like they do, it is boring. Just tell us for crying out loud!

I want Kate to win!! :D She's got a down to earth type of attitude and she's from QLD!!! :D I come from QLD so im just sticking with her. I also think that Emily is great. She has such a strong voice and she can pull off anything. Its going to be a hard call at the end.

I think Lee's song "eye of the tiger " was crap oh and "Ben". Other than that I think he has done ok. He might win because of the majority of voters being young and into punk. He looks so much better without that crap around his eyes... all part of it I know.
Anne shouldnt have gone.She made me laugh because she always looked like she was going to cry when something nice was said about her. I know, her way of taking a compliment.
Kate's got a good voice but pulls weird faces.I know, that is how she expresses herself. Emily is just made for entertainment. She is amazing that one. Daniel is nice on the eye but hasn't got "it" to be out there yet. Um..having a ***** session here lol... Dan is amazing too. His voice is fabo and I love him now I can see his handsome face without that sock on his head. Yes it will be a toughie.
I get all emotional when someone gets a touchdown. Its turned into this huge thing now eh? Before it was a bit of fun I thought but now its like they have won gold at the olympics.!! lol.
Mondays I only watch half of the show because it goes on and on like an everyready battery..I know, Its all part of the show.
I hope Dan wins, we need another John Butler!!!!

Hey everyone, a few people have said that they can't get to watch the Sunday night show? Do you know that Channel 10 replays it on Monday at noon?

(After I take DD to kindy, I get to watch the last half, which is the bit I miss on Sunday nights because I'm putting DD to bed!!)

And I only watch the last few minutes of Monday night too, coz I can't miss the Supernanny!!! My DD makes me switch it over to see "who gets evicted" (I should really limit her reality Tv intake....)

I think the final will be between Emily and Lee (talent vs popularity) and unfortunately, I think Lee will win. This is reality TV, it is all about popularity.

I really hope Lee doesn't win over Emily who is truly talented, but I think he could definitely make the final two as all the young girls just seem to LURVE him!

Think I may have to boycott future series if he does.

i can't bear to watch the monday night show where someone leaves.. they drag it out and it really annoys me.. but alas who am i to complain i love to listen to anyone who can sing (which is clearly not me)....

I love idol!
but only watch it on Sunday and Monday nights. I really like Daniel but he got out last week :( He reminded me alittle bit of Shannon Noll. But i do like Emilyor Dan and can't stand Lee. And havent made my mind on Kate.
