Hello Pinky
I'm currently about 7 weeks pregnant with my second baby and my daughter is almost 10 months old.
Between teething and being unwell, my daughter has all but gone off her food at the moment (not that she's ever been a big eater) and I'm having a really hard time keeping up with her. The constant night feeds are especially tiring. Co-sleeping isn't an option for a number of reasons, not the least of which being that Sarah doesn't like sleeping in our bed anyway.
I know that pregnancy hormones can affect breast milk supply. Will her frequent (really frequent!!) nursing help me to build up my supply again? It feels like I'm battling up hill against the hormones.
I've also noticed that my nipples are a lot more sensitive than they were - esp during accidental contact with Sarah's teeth!! Is this something that my body will adjust to? Or will they just stay sore for the rest of the pregnancy?
cheers,
Wendy
P.S I'm reading your book at the moment, "Sleeping like Baby". It's wonderful! It makes me feel a lot better about what my instincts want me to do, as opposed to what I "should" be doing.
