I have unused dummies still in the packet which I will happily send to you:) Is there anything else the kids need that we can send?

laura piper
27-12-2006, 05:33 PM
That is really nice of you.
LAst time i sent a whole heap of things that i bought but the postage to Ukraine was over $150 so i was only wanting to collect small light things. They don't have dummies or anything to play with. It is a baby orphange with over 100 babie between newborn and 4years. The babies just sit in there cots all day on a vinyl mattress and no toys. I thought i also might try my luck at finding coloured rattles, teething rings or cloth books. You know anything like that :)

Hi,
Just wondering would it make it easyer for postage cost so you dont have to pay for it all if we posted it overseas ourselves?

Its a very kind gesture that everyone is doing.

I read on the site that the box has to be so big [if not it would just get lost in transision because its on the other side of the world... something like that anyway] so that is why i was trying to fit as many things as i could in the box i am sending.
But yeah... due to the feedback i have received i think alot of people will be getting there own boxes together. I think that is great !!!!:smiliedance:
Like i said.. i am only a bored house wife trying to keep busy and came across the website myself. :D

Hey guys
Just reading through some messages and alot of people cannot contribute with dummies but there are other things that i am trying to collect.
I was wanting the box to be as light as possible [i know that sounds terrible but the postage will be over $100 already] so things like rattles, teething rings, cloth books/ bath books. They don't have to be new just in good condition [i will sterilise/ wash them before i send them]
Hope that helps those people who wish to contribute in another way.
little less then 3 weeks to go before we hope to send them :smiliedance:

omg If i read this about a month ago you could have had a few new dummies and pack of wet ones and mini baby powder and soft toys and bibs I recently went on a flight and got a couple of baby packs for my daughter whose nearly two so were no good to me and i just left them on the plane next time i will keep them and let you know

you are doing a wonderful thing maybe try emailing some airlines Like quantas etc as there are always that type of stuff left on planes unopened as ppl dont need it and cant take it with them or dont want it

Thank you also to SUE for the dummies. THANK YOU:thumbsup:
I think a few more people have sent parcel that should arrive this weeek and early next week and then i will leave it at that.
I am going to take a photo of all the dummies that we have collect and figure out how to get that too you all
I will then send them off and depending on which orphanage they go to ... they will post it on the website with a photo so i will be sure to let you all know when that happens.
Your all very kind and generous people for helping out. It is hard as a mother to think of these poor parentless children but thanks to you all they may just get some comfort for at least a day :yelclap:
