wow-
i think i got a real good christmas present- chickenpox.
i broke out in blisters this morning and felt bad already since a few days...
my head itches, my back, my arms...
the blisters start to fill up with fluid- so i think it is needless to ask-
i guess itīs pretty sure i DO have in fact chickenpox!
what do you think???
(my doc is on holiday, of course....)
can you help...
I AM ALL ITCHY:mad:
p.s. we had chickenpox in school, so school broke up around a week ago...would fit perfect...

You poor thing! Hope you're feeling okay. I just wanted to let you know what happened to us this time last year, though. We thought my daughter had chickenpox (my husband is a doctor) and so did our GP, even though she'd had the vaccine (there is a slight failure rate). It just got worse and worse and she became quite sick. Then one of my husband's colleagues realised it wasn't chickenpox, but a bad case of impetigo (school sores). They can look really similar at first. We felt awful as a quick dose of antibiotics and it was all gone. If only we'd known sooner! Anyway, good luck!
thank you soo much alli!!!
i will keep a close eye on it- and hope to catch my gp soon....
as for now- i am just itchy.....
thanks a LOT

Sounds like chicken pox. Jess had the chicken pox last week. But she had so mild that we thought it was mossie bites at first

my spots are growing and getting more
AND
i am STILL itchy...
well, i think i will survive, but hearing i might be on the right track is good- so at least i am 100% sure i DO indeed HAVE chickenpox...OH DEAR..LOL
(but - it could be worse, so NO whinging!!!!)
p.s. still no luck with my gp- he probably has a few well earned days off...the one time in year i would need a gp....:ecomcity:
Have a bicarb bath and then put calmine lotion on your spots.

DS had the chicken pox 2 weeks ago and still has a few spots although they have dried up (he was yet to be immunised). DD who is immunised seems to be coming out with a few spots on her tummy and back, so I don't know whether she is getting a mild case. They do say if you get chicken pox as an adult it tends to be worse than as a child. Hope you get better soon.
oh u poor thing, just lovely present to get at christmas time!!!:(
LOL
thanks for the worse part...:)
my big ones are immunised AND had them too 3 years ago...so they are fine.
bubby is not yet immunised- gp said when he turns 18 month- so we see if he gets it or not. hope NOT!
dh is still standing - NO i DO not get spoilt- MIL is here and need entertainment, i am soooo sad to have a bit a break and not being allowed to join them on their day trips....

You poor thing!:hugs: Just make sure that you dont scratch them (or at least TRY not to) as they can leave nasty scars. HEAPS of calomine lotion is the way to go!
