Im a bit upset as my 6 year old turtles Patsy and Eddie (my very first babies) have managed to both escape from their enclosure around their pond and go on a little adventure!

One escaped the other day and I found him curled in his shell being barked at and circled by our psycho mini foxy in the middle of the tennis court - poor thing was prob frying himself (we have an ashphalt tennis court... hot hot hot!)

DH put some wooden logs around the edge of their fence but they both decided for xmas they would leave us. Dh says not to be upset as all of our babies will grow up one day leave the nest!

DH and I (and the dogs) have been looking for them each night but no sign of them. I just hope they can work out how to get food - they have been hand fed their whole lives.

No sign of them

I don't think we will see them again now, its been nearly a week. They are fairly big turtles (almost the size of a dinner plate) so I assume that if they were anywhere close by we would be able to spot them... but also we are surrounded by paddocks so they have prob gone off on a long walk and hopefully found their way into one of our dams - thats what Im hoping anyway.
