What's normal after m/c?

I had a d&c 55 days ago, but no a/f since then. I don't think I have even ovulated. I am definitely not pg.

Should I worry or go back to the dr?

I am usually very regular with a 27/28 day cycle, and only get a light one for 3 or 4 days max.

Any advice? I want to ttc buy my ob said to wait for the first a/f. Time is a moving on!

I would probably go and speak to your Dr, I always got my period pretty much as normal after my experiences.

If your worried go and see your gp, I know most people go to their normal cycle straight away, but I know of others that don't and af doesn't come for 2mths after, everyone is different, I suggest going to your gp

I totally know what you are going through!

After my m/c in September all DH and I wanted to do was try again (after my next AF) but we waited and waited and waited....7 wks later...

I kept trying to get into see my dr but she was booked out when I was free and I was working when she was available, so I started to lose the plot :laughing: ! To the point where I said I was willing to wait at the doctors all day until she could see me.

In the end she ended up talking to me over the phone to reassure me that it's completely normal (she also just had a m/c) and even spoke to some of her friends and found that it can take up to 12 wks for Af to return. I felt heaps better after and sure enought AF returned 8 wks to the day. It was the longest 8 wks of my life and now I'm currently 5wks pregnant again!!

So it may not seem like it but it will return when your body is ready but definitely see your dr if you're getting concerned cos it did me a world of good!

Thanks for your responses. I went to the ob. He didn't seem overly concerned. I am now past the 8 wk mark with no sign of a/f. I insisted on an ultrasound (I didn't care if I sounded like a hyperchondriac ;)!) Everything kind of normal. Just have to wait 4 more weeks. FYI for others like me, my ob really didn't seem concerned at all. He said 8 weeks or more is okay, only need to check after about 12 weeks. Anyway I have to take some progesterone if no a/f at 12 weeks. Fingers crossed! :fingerscrossed: I want to get back on the bike!!!:D

My AF took about 8 weeks to come back after a miscarriage last year, but if it takes any longer than that I would talk to your doctor.

Good news is I conceived again within a couple of months ........ We had trouble ttc so this was pretty exciting for us.

Hi, I have a question about going back to normal trying after IVF has failed. Do you have to wait a cycle before trying to fall pregnant naturally? I don't really want to do this cause my cycle sometimes goes 90 days. so i get less tries than most in a year.

I have never personally had a m/c but my friends sister has had 2. Her a/f didn't come back for nearly 3 months with her first one nearly 4 months with her 2nd. She's currently 23 weeks pregnant. It sometimes takes awhile for your body to adjust

I am now 20 weeks pregnant after 3 M/C's, still not 100% this bubba will make it but one can only hope..

This is the 3rd pregnancy this year so i hope yours wont take too long.:fingerscrossed:

I now have to take daily injections to thin my blood enough to carry a bubba... were you given any reasons as to why this happened?? I only had answers after 3 M/C's
