i lost a lot of weight a few yrs ago with a p/trainer. i looked on the net and theres a guy who has a good program. he does you up a eating plan, exercise plan while he not there and comes does stretches workout and massage for an hour. it is 60 bucks a session. (it is mobile service) does that sound about right or too expensive?

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me!

I've known trainers to charge $35 - $45 for 30 minute sessions - no diets or massages included.

Just make sure you check out this guys qualifications and do a single session to see if you are comfortable with him before forking out heaps.

My husband is a personal trainer and he does it from our home and includes the training session and warm down stretching and he is also qualified in sports massage. He charges $30 for an hour, less if you book & pay for 10 sessions and always offers a free first session to see if you like him.

The price you quoted is pretty good and usually starts at $30 for half an hour (ask if he will do cheaper if you book and pay for more) but only after you like the way he trains you and yes check his qulaifications as most were trained with AIF (Aust Institute of Fitness).

Oh Mother Duck I never meant it that way as I think everyone else lives in another state. It was only to give an example, I'm sorry if it came across that way.

Nah Nicole - it didn't come across any way other than how you said it, don't worry

I'm just erring on the side of 'modding' caution tis all - have a happy New Year!

Hey.

I'm a PT (although not working ATM) and used to charge $35 for 1/2 hour - the gym got some of that though:)

This guy sounds fairly reasonable. See how comfortable you feel after the first session...good luck!

It's quite a good deal. Usually Personal trainer chicago (http://www.getfitsandiego.com/chicago-personal-trainer.html) costs $50 - $80 an hour. If you do group sessions it is less. It is definitely worth it. Package plans are cheaper.
