Hello, was just wondering your opinion on delaying the introduction of solids until 12 months and bf exclusively instead?
I was told that babies do not obtain any nutrients from foods before 12 months and that breastmilk is their prime source of nutrion.
So if there is no nutritional benefit to introducing solids before 12 months what is the point? (apart from them having the experience and learning to chew).
If you do believe it is best to introduce them at 6 months what is the best way to combine the introduction of solids which breastfeeding? Ie how much solids over 6 months in relation to breastfeeds.
Thanks
