Hiya All
My name is Tara, Im 20, live in Adelaide and just had my first baby - Isaiah Marley - in August of this year by caesarean. Apart from being a new mummy Im also a midwifery student. To become a midwife I need to 'follow through' 30 pregnant women from the antenatal period, birth and into the postnatal period. So, are there any Adelaide gals, up the duff and up due after december who wouldnt mind sharing their experience with me????
What I would do as your student, is come to as many of your antenatal appointments as I could get to and would carry out your checks, come to your birth and help to care for you during your labour and birth, and then I would see you a minimum of three times postnatally (some may be calls). Im in my second year, part-time this year, and have been present at three vaginal births, 1 instrumental, and around 8 caesareans (including my own). I had a lot difficulties during my labour and postnatally too so I can relate and support you in a lot of ways.
Hopefully some of you wouldnt mind me 'stalking' you for the next couple of months and I can get some more wonderful experience under my belt (now a size 18 :D )
