Hi everyone:wave:

I am in need of some advice!

How do I wean Isabelle off the bottle onto a cup?

She really only has a bottle before she has a sleep, or if she is really grumpy so thats 2, sometimes 3 bottles a day.

She drinks diluted baby juice from a sippy cup which has a soft spout.

She also used to feed to sleep when she was BF and seems to have taken to having a bottle to get into the sleep mode. My Mum says she is a comfort sucker, and thats why she likes drinking to sleep (she hates dummies!), but on the occasion that she has fed to sleep, she still tries to suck at the empty bottle.

Should I just leave her to have her milk in a bottle for a little while longer or should I try and progress onto the cup for the New Year??

Thanks in advance :D

Hi
When DD was 1 she started on a sipper cup. I gave her one first thing every morning (still gave her a bottle when she wanted one). Did this for a week, then introduced one at lunch aswell(for one week). Then finally one after dinner. I was lucky as she took to the sipper cup really well, and in the last week I stopped with bottles all together and she didn't mind one bit.
Good luck, hope that helped.:)
