Hi everyone.
Yesterday I had an emotional day. I am 6 weeks pregnant and I have to have BT's done every week to make sure my pregnancy is progressing nicely as I have PCOS and my FS has classed my pregnancy as "High Risk". So far my BT's have all come back fine (except I have low progestorone which I have been using Pessaries for). Yesterday my FS's nurse rang to say that my BT showed that my HCG level isnt as high as it should be for 6 weeks. She didnt tell me what it was though. She was actually very rude and insensitive. When I asked "Well should I be worried?" she replied with "No you shouldnt worry, there is nothing you can do about it now". That was quite upsetting as it felt so final. She did follow on to say that my level has increased a little over the past week but not as much as she had hoped. She said some pregnancies go on to be perfectly normal after this sort of situation but I also must prepare myself for possible 'missed miscarriage' or 'eptopic'. I have to wait a whole week before they will do a scan. She said they were going to do scan next Friday anyway as they like to do a 7 week scan but because of xmas they were going to hold off until the following week. Now they have decided not to hold off as they are 'concerned'. The doctor is coming in specifically to do my scan. I have been very upset, I think more because I am confused. I tried reading stuff on the internet but I just got more confused.
I would love to hear some positive stories of other women who have been in this situation and have gone on to have perfectly normal pregnancies....
