Baby whisperer - PU/PD method

Hello!

Has anyone tried this method to encourage baby to sleep through? It does sound a little unlikely to work especially since Caitlin is still wrapped at 9months! :xmas: I wonder if it would be appropriate to use this method to wean her off wrapping?

Any opinions would be great!

Hi Deanbean,

We have just started using the pu/pd method over the last 4 days with our 7month old DD. And it's brilliant! We are using it as I weaned her from BF to FF and used to BF to sleep. I guess wrapping is almost the same as BFing to settle in the sense that you are using a prop (feel free to correct me). I have found that she doesn't need my touch, just needs me to be in the room and she's on her way to dreamland within 5mins.

We tried it with our DD when she suddenly stopped sleeping through at about 10 months.

It didn't work though because she thought it was a game (ie. I get up, they lie me back down....hey....this is fun! Let's do it again! )
I think it would work with a younger baby though.
