Ok, this may be tmi for some.

Usually when I am throw up anything that is going to come up comes up first. But since I have been pregnant, when I am sick I mostly just dry retch even though I may have had a small amount of food. Just then, I did again but at the end I did bring a little up - I felt that it was being forced. Is it just my body reacting to feeling sick? Anyone know why it would do this? I don't really want to throw up - awful feeling, but it just seems wired.

I suppose I should put this icon somewhere :barf::laughing:, I must say I am feeling better then I was before :D

Huge hugs. I had the same happen to me with DS1 - I have no idea why it happens.

When pg with DD I threw up once only (I know very lucky) but I remember it because it was the exact same way you describe! More like dry retching than vomiting properly. I guess cos when you're pg with m/s you don't eat as much as you normally would when having no m/s and throwing up when you have eaten something bad/off, etc. KWIM?

 - just seems weird, wasn't like this with the other two. Although the only time I was sick with DS2 was when I got really bad reflux and spent 4 hours in hospital on a drip.

Thanks for your reply, I am feeling a lot better, afternoons and most evenings are the best time!!!

Im either vomitting, trying to stop myself from vomitting, gagging or retching.

Its awesome

I cant talk about certain foods otherwise i start gagging.
If i talk for too long i start gagging.

I love being pg honest

I did a lot of retching early on (didn't necessarily feel sick, never :barf:) but the feeling I got was that my chuck-muscles were just not strong enough to bring anything up at some times... is this possibly what's happening to you?
I also found that my throat wouldn't constrict adequately to hold in water, so daren't lean forward within an hour or so of drinking anything :o
Hope yours clears up super quickly!

Allyoo, I too found that talking was a huge trigger, which sucks, I likes talking ;)

Hi I was told (dont know how true it is) that it can be to do with going back to the stone age times of food that could harm a bub and so its your body reacting to the food and making sure bub is ok if that makes sense??
I was soo sick with Ds it wasnt funny, it was very similar to how you describe but many times a day but the best part about actual "morning sickness" is that you feel better after you are sick... if you dont feel better after being sick it might be something else... if the nausea, gaggin or what ever is bugging you talk to your gp they might have some suggestions!!
