when to have a baby shower?

I'm due at the end of April, whats the normal time to have a shower? one or two months before? or earlier??

Whenever you like, though a common guide I've heard is 4-6 weeks before your due date :)

i had my baby shower in feb i was also due in april but my little girl was 05. i just waited til i found out wat sex the baby was. i would have anytime.

I would say around 1-2 months before you are due

I did mine at about 36 weeks. Ours was huge...girls upstairs, boys downstairs...then we all came together at the end for a bbq.

My hub loved celebrating with the boys...it is so special for them too.:thumbsup:

i had both my baby showers around the 32 week mark... thought that was a nice time before hand (not too uncomfortable to enjoy yourself....)

I'm due in early January and I had my baby shower at the end of November due to all my weekends being full in December, and just in case bub decided to come early..

I had mine 2 months before my due date. But its up to you when u want to have it.

I was due with our bubba on the 10th Oct and my SIL threw my baby shower at the end of August....I think 1-2 months before is fine, it gives you time to wash the huge amounts of clothes that you will get and then to work out what else you need to buy before your bub arrives!

We have actually decided on a meet the baby shower... i have 2 due dates and not being sure when bub will come or what sex bub is, also with moving house we have decided that we'll wait till bub comes and get everyone to come round and meet bub a couple of weeks after so that we have tiume to settle...

im having mine 13th of January due to the fact most of my friends will be busy with school, and i dont want it during the easter holidays or on school weekends =]

im due 27th April. a very early baby shower but oh well
