Found this info

Mittelschmerz and Ovulation Pains

Mittelschmerz is a lower-abdominal pain that typically takes place around the time a woman ovulates. Not every woman will experience mittelschmerz, but it is a natural fertility sign and if you experience mittelschmerz, note it on your fertility chart. Only 20% - 30% of of women will have mittelschmerz or ovulation pains - and mittelschmerz may occur before, during, or even after ovulation.

and this

As you can see, the CM changes back to cloudy after ovulation has occurred. Some women may ovulate one to two days (CM very clear, slippery and stretchable). Other women may only ovulate a few hours in one day. These women may have problems conceiving due to the short amount of ovulation time. The CM in a woman that only ovulates a couple of hours may be clear, slippery and very stretchable in the morning or night and then change to cloudy a couple of hours later. If you are experiencing CM that only lasts a couple of hours, you may be able to conceive if you have intercourse during the "peak" hours of your ovulation phase.

I get pains the day before I O, can be a little nasty too!
I have read in heaps of books that if you are TTC a boy to BD close to when you O as apparently the boy sperm don't live that long! I think the egg only survives for 12-24 hours after it is released. I hope this helps!:)

me and DH go like crazy 3 days before Ovulation and day after just to make sure. I don't care if we have boy of girl.

Boys sperm does not live for long so try just before ovulation OR if you want a girl try days prior... they live longer...

I get very bad ovulation pains, and it hurts when we Baby dance but hey.... it will all be worth it when we get our :bfp:

Goodluck!

Merry Christmas to all!:tree:

Hope Santa brings your :bfp:
