Hay!

Have been trying unsuccessfully to find some information on the web regarding The Position of Your Cervix in Early Pregnancy.

Can anyone offer any thoughts or experience on this?

I know what Im looking for when charting if Im not pregnant but what happens when you are?

Any tid bits of information would be great!

Thanks,

P :)

Hi Lucky*me!

After you ovulate, it comes down to low, firm and closed again.. but when you are pregnant it goes back to being high and soft. The thing is no-one can tell you exactly when this happens because everyone is different so it's not something you can use as a pregnancy sign.

Everything I have read says to treat CP as a secondary sign, not a predictor (of anything! including ovulation) as it varies greatly between individuals.

Hope that helps. :)

Yeah...

All the info. i have is that it varies from WOman to woman. I have been doing the same thing lol, looking up info everywhere! I wish there was a magic answer "If your cervix feels like this, the you're pregnant."

Apparantly if you can "look" at it though (hheehe) it will be purple if you are pregnant.

I wish I had checked my cervix in my previous two pregnancies - then I might be able to compare!

Is that true Katie?? I thought it was your vagina that turns blue. I actually can't say I've looked. :o

Yeah, it does as well (butnot in everyone though I dont think.) Apparantly, your cervix more reliably changes colour! I will try and find where I read it..

Thanks guys...

Well you have all confirmed what I already kind of new

Short of sending DH on a treasure hunt with a torch to see if the gold is 'blueish', I wait and see when I test.

DH does the cervix positioning checks for me at night (its quite funny to watch him though, he gets all serious and medical like with his nightly review - he's cute!) and the last couple of nights he says its 'engorged' (his word not mine!) so I went off and was trying to find 'engorged cervix' in a google search!
