I am such a proud mummy. My 7 month old DS started crawling yesterday so is getting around everywhere and getting better and better at it. Problem is downstairs is a very open area and he is driving me crazy. We did what we could yesterday afternoon but there are still a few cords etc from the T.V and computer until we can get internet moved and a new desk for upstairs in the spare room. He goes straight for the cords. What can you do at this age? Is it just a matter of pulling them away constantly? We have a playpen that is a 2 metre one so he can still get around in it so have put him in there a couple of times after getting sick of constant moving!! hehe Such a clever boy :))

We had the same trouble when DD started to move around. You can buy a plastic cord protector which wraps around as many cords as you have in that area to keep them together and safe.

We found that we just pushed boxes or a chair to cover areas of access where we could and have spent a lot of time saying 'No Tayla no touching'. She is a lot better than she used to be.

Unfortunately you might just have to keep on your toes for a bit. He is just finding something new, so try to distract him and he might lose interest.

Good luck..its even more fun when they start walking!! :p
