Babydreams' 2WW!!!

Well I am thrilled to say that all eight of our beautiful embryos did very well. Yesterday (which was Day 5) the embryologist told us that three of them were hatching, three were expanding and two were good blastocysts but just slightly behind the others...what an amazing result we had from our donor's beautiful young eggs and my DH's super swimmers!

The embryologist picked what he thought looked to be the best of the hatching blastocysts and we had a smooth and easy transfer. I am now officially in the 2WW and feeling very hopeful.

Five of the embies were going to be frozen yesterday and they are watching the other two to see if they catch up enough to freeze tomorrow.

Beta blood test will be on the 30th of Dec, so we're either gonna have a very happy New Year or a very sad one.

Thanks everyone for your lovely messages and lovely to see you back Cindy...we missed you!

We found out yesterday that one of our two remaining embies made it to the freezer, so that's 7 out of 8 making it to Blastocyst! What a wonderful batch of eggs our beautiful donor gave us!

No symptoms today :confused:

I know I shouldn't be analysing every little twinge...it could be pregnancy, PMS or the progesterone treatment, one can never tell.

I might fold and do an HPT the day before, but then again I may not...we'll see.

Jo - I actually think that doing an HPT the day before is better for me, but I know a lot of people think they're evil. It lets me control when I find out the news and whether it's good or bad I can fall into DH's arms. I'd prefer that to waiting by the phone for a call from the clinic. Of course I'd only pay attention to a +ve result, I know that people can be pregnant and not have it show up on an HPT. If it's -ve I'll still wait for the blood test, but will have a little time to adjust to the idea.

Miriam - of course that's OK! Thank you very much for your lovely words and thoughts.

Sarah and Hoping, your support and encouragement is most appreciated in these last few maddening days of the 2WW. I am of course convinced that it's all over now and will be a BFN, but am well aware of the tricks that the hormones play on us and the evil depression caused by progesterone! Trying to remain a bit Zen about it but not doing too well.

We snuck in an early blood test today and it's a...

We're over the moon and just so grateful to our beautiful donor :angel: who we found here on Bubhub. I believe we were the first donor-recipient match here, so it's quite a milestone for us all.

Will be back later with more details. It's early days yet, but we're very hopeful!!!
