Hi! Yes, it does happen!
My daughter was a shocking sleeper... it wasn't until she was about seven months I finally got her sleeping properly (but still waking once a night for a feed). This was better than waking eight times a night!!
Then at about nine months of age, she dropped that feed and now sleeps from 7.30pm to 6.30am. She has maybe one night per week that is a bit rough, bad dreams, tummy pain, etc, but most nights sleeps through. I'm a new woman now!

My 8 month old has recently started sleeping through. He goes to bed at 7 and wakes once through the night, grizzles a bit then goes back to sleep after I put the dummy in his mouth. Then he wakes at 6-7.

He has pretty much been all over the place from a newborn, but has been generally a good sleeper. We did CC a few weeks ago, but it was easier for us as we only ended up going in a couple of times before he went to sleep/ Usually took about 20 minutes and it worked really well.

In the end though, I just let him decide when he was ready. Instead of getting myself worked up over him sleeping thru the night, I just fed him at night when he wanted it, and eventually he just stopped wanting bottles at night.

Good luck!

DS is 7.5 months, still not sleeping through the night. He normally wakes at least once for a feed. He is no trouble when he wakes he just eats and goes back to sleep.

We dont put DS to bed as such - We honestly cant see the point. He normally is asleep by 9 or 10pm and wakes between 7 and 8:30. Quite often he falls asleep in our bed and I move him to his cot.

We dont get stressed over sleep. DS gets plenty of sleep and DH and I are used to having to get up in the middle of the night.

I am stressed to the max about sleep at teh moment! I physically feel sick waiting for the crying to start up each time.
She is 7.5 months and I settle/feed/rock her every hour or so every night. Usually about 8 times a night. It has had me in tears latley... It's too much! I have the book called "The no cry sleep solution" by Elizabeth Pantly in the mail... I should get it this week.

DS began sleeping for 12 hours each night (no feeds) from three months old.

DD started sleeping through the night at just over 5 months. I put her in her cot awake between 7-7:30pm, and she sleeps through to anywhere between 6:30 - 8:00am.

She slept through the night prior to that, however that's when it started happening every night.
