Period coming every two weeks!!!!!!

Hi All,

I've read quite a few messages from ladies asking when and how long to expect before their period comes.. I can't believe how lucky some are because mine came back when my little girl was only 8 weeks old and she was totally breast fed.

They have continued since then to come between 2 and 3 weeks but mainly fortnightly which leaves me tired and feeling weak.

I've gone to my naturopath who helped me fall pregant and she has put me on iron tablets and some other vitamins but I'm wondering if I should go back to my obstetrician but scared he'll want to do a curet.

Lily is now 7 months old, still breast fed (4 sometimes 5 feeds a day)..

Anyone else experienced the same???

Are you on any birthcontrol?
I had irregular periods after jaz , but mind u within a month of havin her i was on the Minny pill
for about 1-2 yrs i got mine about every 2 weeks but like i said Mine was due to birthcontrol
As soon as i went off it they went Normal

Hi,

No I'm not on any birth control because previous to falling pregnant I had a lot of trouble getting regular coming off the pill but the opposite problem only coming every 10 weeks or so. I thought having a baby would get me back to normal.. Go figure!!

I had heard to expect anything whilst breastfeeding but perhaps a visit to the doctor would relay my fears anyway..

I had the same thing happene to me, when I stopped b/f. Af would come every 10 days and stay for 10 days then go for 10 days and come back. It got really annoying, tiring and not to mention expensive.
I started taking Vitex, a herbal remedy that comes in a tablet form. It put me back on a very regular cycle and have been for the past 4 months. You can get it from the chemist it may also be called Chaste tree or Chaste berry.

Thanks for that. My naturopath has just put me onto chaste tree so hope it helps. I was on it before I fell pregnant to help just that so hopefully it will do the trick to get regular again...

I'm the same. MJ is fully bf and i've been bleeding every 2 weeks since she was 2 months old.
