Breast feeding&"that time of the month?"

My son in 9months old and is bottle fed in the day but breast feeds at night before bed and I still have not returned to my "cycle".

I was just wondering if anyone else has been in this position and if you can get pregnant if ur not getting ur period (Im on the mini pill just in case tho!) ????

Hi Steph,

Your period will come back when its ready lol but it differs for everybody as Im sure you know.

I think the answer is yes you can fall pregnant before your periods return (feel free to correct me if Im wrong girls :) ).

Also I was actually on the pill when I first fell preggies with DS so the mini pill isnt full proof either, we now use the pill and condoms as we are anxious not to start TTC no. 2 just yet and want to be extra careful lol :p

Most of us ovulate before our first bleed so yes, you can indeed achieve a pregnancy before your first period. Check out the info on lactation and fertility at http://www.woomb.org/

Hi there young mum Steph
My son is 11 months and is still fully BF and period comes and goes.
I started my cycle about 4 months ago, but in saying that I haven't had it return for over 8 weeks!! :rolleyes:
So I figure while we BF our hormones will just focus of the job at hand! Feeding our babes.
Oh and NO I'm not preg (thank heavens)
Husband chomping at the bit to have a daughter but with 4 sons I feel Ive done my bit! Dont you. :confused:
