View Full Version : Crying while asleep???
DS has been waking lately in the middle of his 2 hour sleep screaming .. when I go in his fast asleep but crying a really upset cry?????
I try to comfort him but his fast alseep??? Could he be dreaming? It makes me really sad???
Poor boy. Any ideas? I have been waking him up to calm him down and then he goes back to sleep
Hello, don't worry its not like you do nasty things to him to make him cry....:hugs: it might just be his sleep pattern. He may just be dreaming about something that upsets him.My DD(14 months) talks in her sleep:laughing: I hear her through the monitor "Hey Mum" etc and I go in there to find her fast alseep too...She also does the same crying thing sometimes when she is VERY tired or we have had a big morning etc, I always put it down to being tired... I would get concerned if he was un-consolable, but if he's fast asleep when you go in I wouldn't worry...
Yes this happened with my bub as well..... I would wake up to her cries yet she was asleep looking like she was having bad baby dreams!
I ended up having to resettle her - poor darl.

DD does this too from time to time. It doesn't normally last long though and she resettles herself.
Bug has been doing this since she was 13months old. I just softly talk to her and put my hand in hers and she eventually just drifts into a nice sleep again, without all the sobbing
Bradley does this sometimes..nightmares I think :(
I stroke his back and give him his dummy and let him hold my hand and the crying stops. (All while he is still asleep)
Oh thank you all SO much for your replies .. I feel so sad when it happens and it's just started so suddenly ... hopefully he grows out of it???
He did it again today in the middle of his 1st day sleep and then went back to sleep himself ... poor bub!
I Don't think it ever stops :(
If it is nightmares that is.
