I'm starting a thread to find what are the best stuffers and boosters for pockets. I don't mind if people mention the best boosters for AIO's or fitted. Because its all about sharing info.
I would like to know which stuffers and boosters you think are the best and why?
..absorbency, price, fit, versatility on different nappies etc.
great thread hannas mum

Hemparoo's are fantastic - they do strink over time like most hemp/bamboo inserts ect but still they are great quality and very absorbant.
Hemp/micro prefolds - Made with a layer of thirsty thick hemp fleece, and a layer of super absorbant microfibre and are quick drying.
..as a booster i use a microfibre insert for night teamed with a hemparoo.
Anyway so that's what i use in my pocket nappies, mostly Green Kids.

Anyone tried making their own inserts for the greenkids? Had any luck? What materials?

The fold-ups are designed to be boosters, not inserts- by the time they shrink they are the perfect size to add to an insert for better absorbancy- overnight ect. Perfect to add to a BBB or BBH to help it last the distance  It's ok, I was confused at first, but now I like 'em!
I looove my hemparoos- I feel like I can really rely on them, and because I only have 2, I save them for shopping trips etc. I actually brought the last 2 available through GK's the other day- wanted five, but only two left. Getting 3 of the new inserts to make up the difference... not sure what I think of these- I have one, it's slim and all... but I'm not that confident with it yet!

I've decided on using Bamboo prefolds from Napppy Nation in the UK..
Yummy soft and they dont shrink much at all.
I tested them out and poured 250ml of water in a pocket nappy and they seamed fine.
They take a bit longer to dry but they are super absorbent.

i've made most of my pocket stuffers out of cut up towelling flats (cut in half) teamed with a 30x30cm square of either microfibre or hemp (fleece or terry). or put a 30cmx30cm square of microfibre with the same of hemp. bella is in small nappies, if the rise of her nappies was longer then i'd do 33cmx33cm, or however long the rise is.
i've also made a cotton babies - like insert (a long insert that snaps down to make it smaller to go inside a smaller pocket) - but takes much longer to dry. one or two layer pocket stuffers for me are the best - almost as quick to dry as the pockets themselves!

I use the new GK inserts, or a flanalette flat & microfibre cleaning cloth of a day.
Of a night, hemparoo & microfibre booster, both from GK
