View Full Version : this might sounds silly ....but
Hey all ...
I have had an itchy JAW for the last three days!!! - there is no rash... no inflamation... it is just ITCHY AS HELL!!!!!
not itchy anywhere else!!!
I have been keeping my fluids up (its hot!!!) - and do still have hot showers (could it be dry skin??)
Is this just one of the joys of late pregnancy???
I'm slowly going loopy!

Maybe you're going to eat some money? Aha - I bet it's the Christmas cake.
(well itchy hand means receiving money doesn't it? So it would make sense..... or cents  )
Sorry, I know that wasn't helpful at all. I don't know what came over me. :D
LOL - thats ok .... I doubted that anyone would have a 'real' answer anyway!!!
what kinda freak gets an itchy jaw!!!!
(maybe I'm just going to TALK about money???)

Itchy skin is very common in pregnancy. To help relieve it you can either go to your Dr and can really strong cream for it or you can try cocco butter cream. You can get it from the body shop or Palmer's make it in a pump pack you can get this from any chemist. It's also really good for your skin and can help stop you getting stretch marks. Just rub over your belly, legs and breasts. Worked for me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hiya Jenny, like everyone else have said, it is common thing. Not very nice innit, more thing to drive you crazy! LOL
Skin stretches and pregnancy hormones are partly to blame...
If it gets really bad, try to avoid too hot shower/bath because you know already these can make your skin even drier.
Happy scratchy!
He he
thanks guys :)
it isn't so bad today - so maybe the hot showers (which I will begrudgingly give up!!) were the problem ...
yet again.. buhub makes me feel normal :D

H'ya Veve - ahh the joys!!!
While it might be the hot water my ten bobs worth is ....
....Lots of little bits and pieces live under your skin in and around the glands (for example herpes virus when laying dormant lives just under your ear) - so I reckon it is a part of the preggie hormones playing havoc with your system and causing movement in places under the skin that you would not normally feel...
Hmmm - not saying that it is herpes!!!!!
So there you go - maybe I am already nuts, let alone needing to be driven there!
Maybe it is withdrawals from all that nail polish!
So close for you my love - I am most excitmentness on your behalf!
LOL

Hello Veve,
I'm not sure if you suffer hayfever or not. I do and I get itchy sometimes for no apparant reason. It was worse for me during pregnancy. I guess it was those damn hormones - I tell ya if I ever see one I'll run it over!!!!!
Back on track now. My jawline is one place that gets highly itchy sometimes. Not sure exactly why, but when it does I find a cool washer across the area works a treat. (antihistamine also works but not for preggie ladies).
I hope it all calms down for you soon.
