View Full Version : Back again..in need of more advice....
ok so.....i posted a couple of weeks ago (i think) thinking that i may be pg. test came up negative.
AF is due anytime (didnt write down my last AF so not sure if im having a 4wk cycle or 5wk cycle).
A couple of weeks ago i had this blanket of tiredness come over me from no where (just wanted to sleep for like 2 days) and in the past couple of weeks ive been eating like a horse, and have also been achy over the past couple of weeks here and there. Not to mention bloated.
Over the past week i feel like ive had tiny waves of nausea (dont think its all in my head), been really achy - like now, i feel really achy quite strong but different achy IYKWIM, also lower back ache and achy when i lay down.
My body kind of feels like its racing every now and then, kind of like jumpn out of ya skin - really hard to explain.
The past day or so my boobs have become sensitive -there not majorly sore -but noticible.
In guessing AF i think tomorrow will be 5wks - which is not uncommon.
I have a spare test, but dont want to waste another one if its too early - it can be so hard to figure out sometimes cause AF can give you similar pg symptoms.
Im kind of just waiting so see if AF arrives, but each time i think its gunna , it doesnt.
I had a small amount of creamy cm yesterday morn, but yesterday arvo and now has gone dry - which i think from memory is AF imenient (sp?).
I wouldnt normally think anything is amiss except for the hungry ive experienced in the last week and this achyness and just yesterday the slightly sore bb's. oh and sometimes i think i have a metallic taste - but could be in my head :rolleyes:
Ive looked at the twoweekwait sight, which is difficult cause they are all on DPO - which im not tracking.

Some of the very early pg symptoms (before af was due) that I experienced were:
very itchy skin
Tiredness
Lots of creamy cm (much more than ever before)
Sore bb's (they were a different kind of sore to pre-af though. The pain was at the sides and very sharp an localized rather than the usual af bb tenderness.
On the day that AF was due, I had a bit of back/stomach pain - fel much like the beginnings of AF but it turned out to be implantation
Then cam the tiredness. It was a kind of "bone tired" I have never experienced anything like it. This lasted right through until about 20 weeks!
I didnt get morning sickness until about 8 weeks
Everyone is different and experiences different syptoms from one pregnancy to the next.
If you think AF is due tomorrow, then you could wait a few days before doing the test just to make sure, but thinking back to when I was doing tests, I couldnt wait, I just did them anyway and then bought more .... aaah the memories:D

with dd i didnt notice anything till about 7 weeks (cause i was so busy with work) when the ms hit me like a freight train :laughing: - but looking back, i 'should' of realised, but.... dismissed all my symptoms.
The only major symptom that i had with dd that may of given it away (which didnt cause i was in such denial :laughing: ) was a massive bout of vertigo.
do ya normally get the same symptoms second time around???

I guess you could, I did with my girls but this time has been much diff!

I also have a 'feeling' - IYKWIM.
did anyone else just have a 'feeling' or 'intuition'/'hunch'????? and were you right??

with ds1 i thought i had a uti coz i was need to pee alot then my AF was late..then it didnt come so i did a test and it was a BFP and the dr also confirmed i was preg and it wasnt a UTI:laughing: i ate like food was going out fo fashion and i craved things like aspargus,beef and soups lol:laughing: i had bad m/s with ds1 and i was sleeping alot lol
with ds2 i had sore boobs, tiredness, and my af had been awol a while so i wasnt thinking i was preg lol everythign kept saying i wasnt lol (u/s and tests) i craved foods like KFC alot lol then i did a test got a BFP. i didnt get any m/s with ds2.

Wow funny you mention that vertigo... how far preg would you have been cos looking back on this one, right when i would have conceived I suffered from vertigo outta the blue, it was awful!
I have no inklings with this one till 6 weeks to the day, something just "told" me to test. I had funny spotting for weeks and assumed it was a delayed period as I had just started a new job and was a little run down etc, and also very tender bb's which I put down to period coming lol! I had gone off coffee a week earlier and though nothing of that either :laughing:

i knew i was pregnant with both from that 'feeling' you refered to. especially with this one, i felt unusually up-beat, happy and energetic and it lasted for a couple of days so i thought something is up. this was all before i had any symptoms. i did a HPT and i got a :bfp:.

Nah seriously from what you described you may well be... but i know how powerful the mind can be and how we can convince ourself of "symptoms" that arent really there and read to much into things... so its 50/50..
At the end of the day the only way to find out is to do a test.. So when you are happy and ready to test go for it... :)

I had similar symptoms that were just AF quite a few times, but not every cycle, so I did notice the difference. last year when i was on the pill but dreaming of being pregnant I *thought* i was pregnant a few times and i was wrong. Mind you, my symptoms weren't that pronounced. the symptoms you are describing definitely could fit with early pregnancy symptoms, but i think your main question is when is the best time to test. Well, I'd suggest the earliest time to test would be on the day AF is due (eg tomorrow) and make sure it's first urine of the day (most concentrated usually). If you don't want to buy another test in a hurry, then I'd wait another couple of days and if AF comes, then you've got your answer and if it doesn't then the test if more likely to come up positive by then if you are pregnant.

If you don't want to do the test yet, set yourself a day when you know you are DEFINATELY past due for AF... I know it's hard to tell if you are irregular (I'm the same way), That's why I've always found out around the 7-8 week mark... Good luck!
quick update....................I did another test yesterday morning as soon as i got up (pretty much) :bfn:
Still no sign of AF yet........... i have af like cramps/aches though - weird.
So after taking the test yesterday and getn a :bfn: im just kind of waiting for AF to show now.
did have something strange yesterday though....... had some creamy cm (sorry tmi) dont normally get that just before AF. But its gone again now.
Think im just gunna wait it out until AF shows. Im pretty much on 5wks now so if i get a couple of weeks down the track or after xmas and still no AF, then i know something is up:yes:
I also havent had any PMS yet.
just bumping up......................
anyone................whats going on with me.......:confused: still nothing, strange, strange, strange.

What you are mentioning is very similar to the things I am experiencing.
Here is what is happening to me:
My period is 5 days late
I am not really haivng cramping, but I feel different 'down there'. I was lying in the bath tongiht, and it felt like something was pushing on my pelvis.
I have waves of tiredness. I had a mini one today which lasted for about 15 mins and I am having one right one which has been going on the last hour
The last 10 days I have had on and off back pain from the bottom of my ribs to my lower back, but occuring mostly in the middle of my back behind my tum.
My boobs have beena little tender, I would not say sore, but yesterday my nipples were actually sort of paining for a couple of hours. And when I got out of the bath tonight to me the areoli (spelling!!!) looks a little larger and the first thing I thought to myself was OMG I have porn star nipples (dont ask me why, it was the first thing that came to head!!!)
As for little bouts of feeling ill..I have had that the last three nights each lasting for about 5-10 mins and once I thought I was going to throw up, I felt my gag reflex going all weird, like it was going to make me be sick. Very odd.What does it all mean!!!!!!!!
I always got negatives when pg with DD when using the fortel ultra sensitive brand tests so if you're using them try a different brand!

well....still no AF yet.
Had a little emotioal episode this morning, where i felt like i was just gunna cry 'for no apparent reason' and still have AF like pains. But im ok now.
Im feeling a little spaced out like i get when AF is here - its weird cause it comes and goes. But when AF comes - you definately know shes here IYKWIM :laughing:
The test i used was 'discover' one-step pg test, from the chemist. Anyone had any experience with that test ???????
lvgurl - yeah, u sound similar to me. I had bloating last week and was expecting AF to turn up as it normally does when i bloat, had lower back pain which has come and gone here and there, tiredness which has come and gone here and there Things are coming and going so im getting a litte sus now.......... oh and also been eating alot in the past 2 weeks........maybe ive just been really hungry.
But......im gunna wait it out and if she hasnt turned up next week after xmas day then i'll go for that blood test.
Ive read alot of post from women that say they get alot of creamy cm but i havent had alot of it. At the moment there isnt much at all but seems a little sticky kind of - of what there is. sorry if tmi - but u know when u wipe down there and the paper sticks - REALLY sorry if that is TMI.:o
I have gone 6 weeks 'once' (normally no more than 5) and finally gotten AF but the last time i went 7 weeks i was pg with dd....... and the ms hit me out of no where HARD at 7wks.
Its just really hard to gauge as i didnt know with dd until the 7wk mark.
oh and question: if you have low progesterone (like i supposedly did with dd) can that cause the hcg levels to take a while to rise therefore giving you negative test results?????

did you get a blood test, some people dont show up on urine ones.....
i used pregnosis...tested the day before i was due...and 2 dark blue lines...i'd test again...also see your doctor:D

Still no AF yet!!!! thats about 4-5 days late now (and thats after the 5wk mark). But........i did another test last night and :bfn: (with 'fortel' this time)
this doesnt make any sense......where is AF?????
ive noticed this morning ive had a little bit of creamy cm and felt a bit wet down there (sorry if tmi).
sorry if im being a pain in the bum ladies........im a little lost with this one.
Dont want to waste my time going to the doc's if im gettn a negative test result.

no Af as yet and i too have porn star nipples:eek: that just today 'feel' like they are enormous..........its a little weird.
My bra seems a little fuller than usual.....
I had af like pains yesterday and thought for sure she was gunna be here last night or this morning, but nup.

Dont worry im pretty on the edge of my seat myself.
Ive recently (this afternoon) had some brownish creamy cm (sorry if tmi) and im feeling incredibly warm. That warm that it made me take my temp - 36.7.
So, i gather that AF must be coming. I imagine id be past implantation???
well......AF arrived.....this morning.
Gee..........thanks Santa.....really needed it TODAY of all days.
