Is it possible to overfeed? My little one has a major double chin and has really chubbed up. I feed on demand which is pretty much every three hours. since her birth her weight gain averages out at 270gms a week
I have people sayng 'you must be feeding her well'.
Could i be feeding her too well?

She sounds perfectly normal, and perfectly gorgeous! :) Sounds like you're doing a fabulous job, don't stress! Demand feeding teaches a baby to eat when they're hungry, and to only eat until they're full. Babies lay down fat stores for later on when they start expending heaps of energy (ie when they start crawling).

You are doing a MAGNIFICENT job, don't worry!! :)

ITA with The Queen, demand feeding means perfect nutrition for your little one, you are feeding exactly the way nature intended.
Chubby bubbas are the best!

You know you're doing a great job when their cheeks rest on their shoulders.

I think you could overfeed, well I do as my DD was always being sick so I spaced her feeds a little but was still more often than your little one!

Do what your heart says, follow your instincts on what you daughter wants and you will be a happy mummy and you will have a happy DD :D

Sounds like a normal healthy breastfed bub! You cant overfeed a BF bub...and 270gms a week is normal....DS was gaining 400gms a week up until about a month ago!!

You will probably find your little girl starts to even out in her weight gains...its normal and you are doing a great job. You should feel proud whenever anyone comments on your bubs weight because you are feeding her well.

DD had a few weeks where she gained 300-400gm per week too! For a while she really chubbed up, but then would have a growth spurt & she seemed to stretch - so she seemed to know to bulid the chubb up ready for the stretch. lol.

Feeding every 3hrs also seems about average (DD was usually somewhere between 2-4hrs) so i don't think you are overfeeding at all. Your doing a great job!
