Can you use the same machine foot you would use for silk/satin???
Dont ask me what its called or what it looks like.... :p
Good thinking.... think I will have to consult the old faithful Nan!
make sure you are using polyester thread. Cotton will jam your machine.
I will be atempting to make my own wet bag next week (when my materials arrive:rolleyes: )
Thanks for the tip Sheddie:thumbsup:
Making your own is soooo much cheaper than bought ones.... I think my PUL cost me about $9 and I'll get a decent sized bag out of it. How can they justify $20-$40 for one??? Beyond me.....
money for jam as Shed says... it's true!

I sew my own wet bags and I use grease proof paper. You sew it between your footer and your PUL, then just rip it away afterwards. It stops the pul from slipping and makes it much easier to sew.
I'm sorry I can't speak from experience, but I've been collecting a few tips here:

I was thinking of sewing my own wetbag because of the $$ factor, but how difficult are the zips to sew in?
