my ds2 is not quite 2 months yet few days short of it. anyway he seems to want to feed all the time! he wont have much to do with dp unless he knows im there just incase he deicdes he wants some food again:laughing: last wednesday he was 5.22kg and a height of 53cm. latley he seems to be fussing not long after a feed but then deicdes he isnt hungry.
i'm not sure if he is overfeeding. his weight is in the 50th percentile but his height is in the 10th or 25th. i'm seeing our gp today so i am going to mention it to her.ds2 is getting a review on his reflux and the dreaded vax's

He could be going through a growth spurt and is trying to increase your supply... Or is just getting used to snacking. With my kids, once I got them in a rough feed-play-sleep routine, they would feed longer at a time :)

Breastfed babies cannot overfeed. He sounds perfectly normal, and it is obvious that you're doing a brilliant job! It can take up to 12 weeks for your supply to settle down, and there's usually a growth spurt at around 2 months as well. Good job!

Totally normal!
Both mine were little 'cling ons' feeding pretty much constantly for months!

Comfort nursing is a big part of breastfeeding, it is important for the emotional health of your baby, it helps to keep your milk supply at it's peak, it is part of the whole mother-baby bonding thing, helps to work the muscles of the face to ensure correct jaw development... etc.

All the best, you are doing a wonderful thing by completely demand nursing.

i was encouraged by the midwife who was in charge of looking after my hospital room to do on demand feeding. i dont think i could ever get ds2 into a routine for feeds, sometimes you'd swear he is dying from starvation the way he acts even though he had a feed not long beforethat lol
