Hi!
Me again
At the moment I am using PUL pockets on bub overnight. However I'd like to use something a bit more natural and breathable overnight... PUL seems like it might not be that breathable (or is it just my imagination...:detective: )
I was thinking about buying some Babybeehinds for nighttime. Would they be more breathable?
What sort of cover would be best?
On the beehinds site they have wool and PUL... but I really like the knitted wool soaker kind.
Which would be best to use? And what is a good place to get really funky covers (just the name, not a link ;) ), everywhere I look they are sold out :(
Thanks!

I think a natural fibre nappy and then a wool cover would be the best.
I use a BBH overnight with a wool soaker...I use a fleece liner which isnt natural but his bum is dry by morning.
In the day i use ennees but the PUL means his bum gets sweaty...not so bad for day i change him every 2-3 hours but for overnight when its 12-13 hours the other combo is best i find.
Oh i have a BBH wool wrap and I have 2 knitted soakers...i like the knitted soakers better...but the wrap is good too.
You can get soakers off ebay...a lady knits them...but i found the knit a bit loose therefore they are not my favorite soaker.
I was lucky to get a gorgeous pair of lime striped shorties from NURTURE NAPPIES...they were a one off...they are hard to find...you might just have to keep searching...maybe sign up for BAA BUM updates as she does custom slots and anounces them via email updates..also OZEBABY has hand knits but they go quick!

I use Bambo BBH with their wool wrap and love it! No leaks whatsoever- Excellent! Gets a big     from me!!

ditto:thumbsup:
wool wool wool wool wool!! Overnight we use BB bamboo, foldup and microfibre liner with either a soaker or a BB wool wrap. I like the wraps because they fit perfectly and hug the nappy. However, I LOVE wool soakers only because they're so soft, seem to be a bit more airy (iykwim!) and are just fantastic!
My favourite soaker (more of a shorty) is Possum Pouches (can be hard to get). I also have a cute soaker from Sustainable Hemp Products (I know Michelle has some atm).
Another couple are Fully Woolly and Flockart. Have a look at Ozebaby aswell.

lol- I have been converted too! BB Bamboo with a fleece liner and a wooly soaker (organic from butt natural) The nappy is always soaking, but DD is rash free. I have just ordered 2 more BB Bamboo and a fold up to try as well (I would have bought 2 but the place I ordered from only had 1 left :-() I like the soakers so much that I have bought another couple off ebay- I hope they are okay- they look gorgeous. Mum said that Laura's current soaker is ugly- she is so wrong!!!!
I might look into this as well...DD is in Gk's overnight at the moment. I guess I am worried about the heat in summer with the wool soakers.....is this just a myth?
On another note....what do you all do about PJ's over night?? Because the nappies are so much bigger for night, I'm finding that DD pj's are rolling into the top of the nappy at the front and wicking come morning. I find using an all in one bodysuit seems to work better...what do you do?

Wool in summer can actually be more comfortable than PUL. In fact wool is ideal year round and because there are so many different wool fibres available, even knitted clothing in summer can be cool. I have bought a Possum Pouches CRIKEY soaker for Hamish for christmas so I will see how it goes. It is sooo hard not to 'test run' it now!
I still put Hamish in jumpsuits overnight-they are so much more practical than PJ's on a baby. or if you are in hot weather then I guess bodysuits would be the equivalent.
It's really muggy here so dd2 wears a top to bed and I don't worry about anything else. I don't find the soakers leak though as her bed is always dry.
As for wool temperature, think about ppl who have wool underlays - it keeps you warm in winter and cool in summer. Same goes for soakers, and I guess because they allow air to circulate through.
FunkyChicken - I saw those 'Crikey' soakers awhile ago at PP's, they were pretty cool! I couldn't imagine having one and not being able to use it straight away, arghhh the agony!
WOOL all the way. Can be exy if you can't knit but if you have one just for night
The reason why the soakers are so hard to get is because they take so long to knit and I only have one pair of hands unfortunately. It takes me 2-3 days to make a soaker. Have a look at WAHMania or OzeBaby. And get in quick! You can also ask a wahm to knit one for you. ;)
In Winter we use longies as PJs. Or just singlet soaker and sleeping bag if it is chilly.

 They have been in and out of their bag at least a dozen times. Every time I am with another clothie user (quite often!) they get pulled out for 1) me to brag about and 2) to be oohhhedd and aahhhddd over by the viewer! :p
*Only 6 sleeps until he can wear them.:D*

Elouise wears a nappy with a wool soaker... that's it! Goes shirtless now - has the past few weeks, as it's hot at night here.
Normally she would just wear a singlet or if it's quite cool, a long sleeved shirt or jumper. No bottoms ever.
