Anyone else getting Thrush?

Hi all :wave:

Just wanted to see if anyone else has problems getting thrush all the time! I have been getting it on and off for years...sometimes it gets really bad and I get it after every period :thumbsdown:

I went to a chinese herbalist in March this year and she cleared it up in 4 months. In the past 9 months I've had it twice since I tried the chinese herb treatment & accupuncture. I had been seeing Dr's and a gyno and they couldn't seem to fix it. I still get it but not as often...

When I was on the pill I was getting it 1-2 times every month. I used pessaries which didn't seem to help so I got put on tablets I think they were like antibiotics, not sure, which cleared it. But didn't stop me from getting it the next time. Fingers crossed, but I haven't had it since going off the pill...well I had a bit of thrush soon after going off it.
Have you tried the tablets? I don't mean the one tablet like diflucan one or whatever they're called.
I hope you find an answer as I know how bad it is...it's undescribable...especially when you get it straight after clearing up the last.

I only EVER get thrush if I BD and dont shower fairly soon after. lol maybe im allergic to DP :o well, it prob not so good espc when TTC you leave the swimmers in there-that was my prob. gotta wash them out:D

That's what I thought was wrong with me! Since my DP lives a while away everytime he'd come down here and then leave I'd get thrush! I said to my DP - I think you are causing the thrush so no more BDing (just joking with him) and all he could say was "noooooooo" :p. But the last couple of times this hasn't happened.

It is possible that your DH is giving you the thrush....he needs to be treated everytime you do otherwise you just pass it back and forth (even if he doesn't get the symptoms).

It is so frustrating especially while TTC :banghead:
Rang the chinese herbalist and picking up some herbs to take, hopefully won't affect anything for O next week...

I had a terrible time with thrush when we were ttc Elouise. I went to doctors and naturopaths and everything and eventually found out that it was because DH's sperm was too acidic for my body. It just clashed with my body and caused thrush and cystitis all the time. DH has never once had thrush:no:

After we had Elouise and went back to using condoms, never had a prob again. Although we are ttc now (as of last month) so we'll see how we go this time around...

I used to think it was that reason also but the Dr's did tests and never was that..
