I can't believe that my sweet dd has been at school for an entire year!
We just got her school report and she seems to be doing very well - there really is little that we need to work on over the holidays ... just starting her work on time and finishing it with care:shame: !
Next year (grade 1), she will have a very tough (and fair!) teacher who is renowned for handing out a lot of homework and expecting a high standard of work. I have spoken to her recently and she can't wait to get her hands on next years class as they are all reading at grade 2 level already and their understanding of the basic principles of spelling and maths is pretty high.
I'm putting ds into pre-school 2 days a week so that we can have some time to get through her homework uninterrupted! He is going to have a ball at the new pre-school - we had to pull him out of his old one at the end of term 3 as we could no longer afford to send him, so he has been going to school to help in kinder 2 days a week instead.
Doesn't time fly??? I look at her photos from her first day and she looked so little and babyish - now, in the way she talks, holds herself and looks she is so much more mature! Where has my little one gone????
