Hi again,

Advice needed AGAIN

For the last couple of weeks MJ has not been sleeping the best. For starters she can't/won't sleep on her back. She's no longer wrapped for sleeping and just can't settle when put on her back. As soon as i put her on her side, almost on her stomach she settles. Problem is if she ends up on her tummy or back she wakes :( I've tried rolling nappies infront & behind but doesn't work.

Next issue is that she wakes everynight between 2-3am and will not re-settle in the cot. After 45mins i ebd up bringing her into our bed where she will sleep (but not well) till 5am then wake for her first feed. I've tried waiting till she settles then putting her back in the cot but she wakes & won't go back off.

Anyone out there have a magical cure ;)

I thought you coslept? Wouldn't that solve the getting up problem? Stick the boob in and both go back to sleep :) Babies sleep safely in lots of positions so don't be too fearful about that. Have a look at the sleep stuff on the Sears site and pop that baby back in your bed to avoid that getting up stuff. :)http://www.askdrsears.com/

We do cosleep kinda. The cot is right up beside the bed without the side on. It just seems that me being close isn't good enough, she has to be right against me. Its just that when its so hot like it has been i worry about her overheating but i'm sure she'd tell me.

About feeding and co-sleeping, i just don't feel comfy doing it. It hurts my nipples as she doesn't attach properly. Think i need someone to show me how its done :o

My pic is a woman giving birth :)

RB you really need to sort that out. You're missing out on the best benefits of cosleeping! :D Your local ABA will help you out with practical demonstrations and I'm pretty sure I posted a link on bubhub about lying down bfing. I stopped sitting up to bf at night when my son was a few weeks old. It's very easy! Bubs will move away from you if she gets too hot. Now put that babe in the bed and on the boob and get some rest :)
These have pics as well as descriptions :)
