View Full Version : First time overnight cloth
my bub went 12 hours overnight wearing cloth for the first time ever. when she woke up this morning she did a huuggeee poo too. bb bamboo plus wool soaker contained it all. i am so happy!
whoo hoo! We haven't gone overnight with cloth yet. Waiting on my first MCN.
I think the next one on my list will be a BB.

Fantastic! It takes a bit of courage to go overnight the first time, doesn't it? I use my Bamboo BB's for the job too, they never fail me. I do find that I need an extra booster on top of the two snap-in ones though.
Mum21- get a trial pack- they are such good value  I wish I did- I forgot they had them when I was starting out, so I don't have any of the 'extras' that come with it, like covers, wipes etc...
i use bamboo one with the small snap in & the bamboo fold up with wool cover works wonders:thumbsup:
I look back now and can't imagine why I was so worried about using the BB over night! I think it was because I'd used terry flats that just didn't last the distance o/n that I just couldn't imagine something other than a sposie doing that.
I think the first night I majorly over boosted, worrying whether they'd work!
Nowadays we use the BB bamboo and a hemp/bamboo foldup, covered with a soaker or bb wool wrap. Sometimes dd2's almost completely dry, other mornings she's really quite wet but it generally lasts the distance.
Once you make that first step to full time cloth mumma you never look back:yelclap:
:yelclap: :yelclap: Congratulations!!!!!!!
Can't wait to use a BB overnight too, just waiting on my soaker *still impatiently tapping my foot at australia post*
This arvo after her nap my bub was leaking out one side of her BB - the side she was lying on. The cover contained it so no change of clothing or anything but it wasn't a long sleep. She generally sleeps on her side when she's in bed with me overnight(the better to breastfeed often my dear). Will this be an issue and if so what can I do about it?
my greenkids used to leak out the side! Is the nappy tucked all the way in or is it tight enuff?
What do you mean by leaking out? As long as nothing is escaping the cover it is ok, even if the wetness is all in the same spot.

My greenkids still leak at night:confused:
I use the BBHs at night. They work great! I use the extra booster in it too:thumbsup:
Yes, that's why fitteds with covers are great.. that extra line of defence!!
Umm.. could you try to tuck the leg frills in? (don't know how this would work with a big bub, my baby is only 10weeks old).
thanks everyone. i am tucking the leg frills in. when i say leaking, her cover was wet, her pants over the cover just slightly damp - not the end of the world! it's just that i am putting her on her side for every sleep now (discovered that she goes to sleep much better on her side) so i am wondering about it being an ongoing issue/worse leaks happening. that said, i am working on getting more decent covers. just received a BB woolwrap that i bought off ebay.
which cover were you using?
