I am trying to get Matthew toilet trained this summer for 2 reasons. I'd like him done before I give birth and also because if I leave it until next summer, he will be 3.5yrs old!

So I am now wondering if I may have to do it in winter if I can't get him done by February. Our winter starts in March and doesn't end until October (how sucky) and the thought of him running around half naked at that time of the year worries me.

So has anyone ever done it in winter and how did it go?

I did DD1 in Winter ( everyone said it would not work). We started in May and she was TT by Julyish.
We live in QLD so it was not too cold. I put undies under her trackpants and when it was warmer she just wore undies.
I found it easy, but it may be different if you live down south.
But you just put warm clothes on over the top of thier undies.

Good luck

Yeah, its usually anywhere from 0-10 degrees in winter here, so I don't know if it would work that well.

We started DS1 in July - it was when DH had the time off, and I wanted to do it while he was home. I say do it when everyone is ready. The only thing with doing it in winter is more washing, I also made sure I had spare old tracksuit pants.
