View Full Version : By george, i think hes got it!!!
Cooper is suddenly taking himself to the toilet all the time~ hooray!! i gave toilet training a go a few mths back, but he obviously wasnt ready so i decided to just go with the flow (no pun intended hehe) and see if he is interested in summer time. well of his own accord he has been asking for his nappy off every time he wants a wee, and i have even been leaving it off all together at home!! we definetly shouldnt force it on them, it seems to suddenly click for each child in their own time :) (hes still scared to do a poo in the toilet though, wont do one at childcare either, so i always make sure i dont leave him there long, in case hes holding one in , lol)
Fantastic news! Well done Cooper.

Yay Cooper!! & good for you for letting him come to it in his own time. You just strengthened my resolve not to push Chloe. I can't stand the thought of chasing her around with a potty!
Well done Cooper. I find it amazing that kids will get the whole toilet training thing when they are ready and not a second before.
I have a friend of mine whose little boy finally did his first poo in the toilet when dh and I were over for a visit. He hasn't done one since. Apparently he is waiting for us to visit again! lol
Just wondering - is it the mans job to teach his son how to pee?
YAY CONGRATULATIONS & good luck :D
not sure carls, i guess so, cooper is to little to stand atm ,he just sits on the loo for his wees, no one ever showed Thomas though, one day he just started to stand when he went, maybe saw some of the kids at daycare?

Ladies - do not let your husband teach your son how to pee. I have my son trained to sit on the toilet to wee. On the weekend with Dad home - it is a free for all - spraying all over the lawn which, is my pet hate. Lazy men.
I am paranoid about my grammar and spelling now.

My friend has the same thing with her little boy - wouldn't go for a while but now goes to wee all the time...the poo thing though - he won't do it!?? As you said though - all in their own time.
Well done to you both!!! :)

She gets around in NOTHING, not even a shirt all day as its so hot here and she's hardly had any accidents the last week (except for 3 poos yesterday...YES 3!!)
Hope evreything keeps going well coopsntilly!
