This topic kind of got started in the other thread, I thought that I'd start a seperate one for it.

What are you craving?
Anything yet?

I am craving the same as when I was pg with DD - meat and sweet stuff (generally fresh summer fruits). I was pg through autumn/winter last time, so craving summer fruits got very expensive, but this time, they're all here in the markets waiting to be eaten!!! Yum!!

And meat. I generally don't eat meat, but crave the protein when I'm pg it looks like.

What about you?

Well when I was pg with my DS I craved Bananas all the time! I havent really had many cravings so far. The other day I felt like chocolate cake but when I got it I didnt feel like it anymore! Yesterday I had a craving for potato chips but that is it really. I have been feeling really thirsty though. So drinking lots of water.

Well late last night I had my first craving. I craved for icecream! I couldnt get it out of my head until finally DH drove to the shop and got me some! Today I couldnt think of anything worse than icecream but at lunch I wanted almonds. So I got some of those.
Still drinking so much. I have pee'd 17 times today already! which is probably coz I have had about 3 litres of water, no matter how much water I have I just cant seem to get enough!
I am soooooo tired today and soooo cranky as well.
Thinking about all the things I am not sposed to eat coz of listeria has put me in a mood so I am trying to sit down and relax now. Not an easy thing to do with a 6 year old to take care of!

I still got no real cravings. I found out that the smell of cheese (any sort of cheese) doesnt make me feel so great. I dont feel like chocolate at all which is unusual for me but probably a great thing since my face is FULL of pimples in the last couple days. Anybody else getting lots of pimples? I am still really thirsty and I seem to be most hungry at night time for some reason. I dont have m/s but for some reason I dont feel like eating in the morning. Its weird.

One or two cups aren't bad, although of course none is best.

I had one or two last pg, and as of about 3 months ago was up to about 4 or 5 a day!!!! I cut back HEAPS before I even fell pregnant.

Bot now, alas, none for me. :crying:

I have completely gone off coffee too, it was one of the reason I thought I was pregnant!!

I have been craving healthy food:thumbsup: which is a bonus and my favourite is rocket, I can't get enough of it, it's very strange!

I dont think I am actually off coffee but I havent felt like it at all. I dont know if that is because I have a high risk pregnancy so my brain is saying "NO!" :shame: or just coz I dont feel like it.... I am definately off steak though. Cant even stomach the thought of eating a steak! Yuk! :barf:

I am craving starchy stuff, like bread, rice and potatoes but I think thats cause of the nausea I'm getting. I actually feel constantly hungover (without the fun night beforehand!!)

I'm also really wanting a big milk with milo right now. I haven't had a milo in years???!!!!

Has anyone switched to caffeine free coffee/ diet coke etc?

I love my coffee and diet coke - so caffeine free is great for me. Admittedly i have been off coffee a bit.

Angelgirl - Wow that is so funny! I hate milk and never usually drink it but since I fell pregnant I have been drinking a tall glass of milk with milo at least once a day! I think its coz it helps me when I am constantly feeling hungry!

Kirst

That's a good idea. I don't usually drink milk either, and am constantly thirsty and hungry. Maybe that will cure it?

Can't really say im craving much atm ,but i too am extremely thirsty.
I prefer savoury to sweet atm but nothing in particular & with my last 2 i craved fruit & veg but im not this time i have to force myself to eat it.

Has anyone had a feeling if they are having a boy or girl from the food they are craving? eg is it the same to when you were pg with your ds or dd or if this is first has anyone told you that you are having either boy or girl depending on what your eating?
Did that make sense lol?

Hey Kaz - I don't drink coffee but used to drink diet coke every day. I went off it cause I figured anything with artificial sweeteners cant be that good for you? I'd prefer just to have the occasional normal coke instead. I dont actually miss it and I think it was more a habit than a craving for caffeine.

I have a feeling im having a boy from my savoury preferences atm.
With ds it was savoury, with dd it was sweet & lots of fruit & veg.
