Broken toe....

I am pretty sure i have broken my toe.... :(

But my question is this...
Is it worth going to see a doc... ?
can they actually do anything about it?

You can go if you want them to xray it, but depending what toe it is they wont do anything for it.

aww Tracey i feel your pain. I broke two toes last year by accidently kicking the corner of the couch :o There was nothing the doctors can do other than getting some of that thick medical tape and tape it in a way that you cant move the particular toe thats broken. So tape it up hon! Oh and soon you'll be able to feel a very sharp pain underneath your foot, right in the middle. You'll have that for a good few months.

Could you strap it to your other toe to makes sure the bone heals straight?

Last week my little toe collided with the corner of a peice of timber, hurts like heck was awhile before I could move it. Hurt to walk etc. DF said I probably just bruised it. It has been tingly and achy ever since and last night I started getting cramp like pains in the arch of my foot. Maybe i did break it.:rolleyes: :o Trust me lol!

I think i broke my little toe about a month ago kicking the corner of my couch - it was real bruised for days still hurts a little now if i bump it on the top of the joint...

Aaaw Tracey :hugs: you poor thing! Sounds like you have done a good job there and well and truly broken it! Like others have said, I would just get some sports tape and strap it up well to make sure the bone heals straight. I hope it starts to feel better soon hun:hugs:

I have LOST count of times when I have broken my toes!! due to basketball or in corners of whatever is there in the house!!! and now its all weird and crooked looks funny toes are easily broken just like that there is nothing much to do just grin it and bear it!!!! :cool:

Hi tracey, unfortunately there is nothing they can do. I break my toes ALL the time, I'm just a clutz! mostly my little toes so it is really painful and annnoying. But yeah, they'll just tell you to keep off it if you can for a few days.
