Hello - we are new to the world of baby sleeping bags - so forgive me if this is a stupid question. If they are in sleeping bag - do they also need covers -or blankets?

Hi lucyp!

If you purchase a Grobag you don't need covers as well.

The Grobag has different types of bags for different seasons...

Have a look:

www.grobag.com.au (http://www.grobag.com.au)

They are fantastic and endorsed by SIDS association.

I am getting an 0.5 tog for our summer and bub will only need a short sleeved bodysuit.
I have a 1.0 tog for next year (around march onwards)

You'll understand the "tog" system once you have a read about them.

Good luck and I highly recommend it!!

take care

Hi I put ds in a sleeping bag instead of blankets coz he just wont stay under them!! I just put lots of layers on him & on really cold nights put the heater on too.
The grow bag sounds great though!

Hi there!

Sleeping bags are the go! I swear by them! When Jack was only a few weeks old (this August) he would kick out of his wrap and covers and continually wake up as he was cold.

His Nan gave me a sleeping and it was the best thing ever!

I use the Snugtime brand http://www.snugtime.com.au/ as they are a lot cheaper then the Grobags but just as good. They also come in a variety of winter/spring/summer thicknesses.

But as for your question, particularly as it is warm now during the day and cold at night, I put Jack in a spring sleeping bag when he goes to bed and when I go bed (as the days gets cooler) I will cover with a blanket.

Good luck!
