hi i need a recipe for trifle plz need to make one for sun hope some one can help lol :tree: :xmas:

I am not sure if this is what you were after but this is how we make our Trifle.

Slice swiss roll and line a large glass bowl or dish with it. Make up jelly mixture and pore it over the cake. The add some tinned fruit salad (no juice) Put in the fridge to set. Then make up your normal custard mixture and poor that over the jelly and put in the fridge ubtil ready to serve.

I hope this helps a little, sorry they are not very good instructions but my brain is not working tonight.

I've not made this recipe myself, but a friends MIL has and it tastes absolutely to die-for!

Spring-Form Trifle

85gm packet raspberry jelly
250ml boiling water
100ml cold water
2 tbsp custard powder
1½ cups milk
1 tbsp sugar
300ml thickened cream
2 tsp gelatine
2 tbsp hot water
400gm jam sponge roll cut into 1.5cm slices
½ cup fresh fruit (strawberries or whatever)

1. Combine jelly as directed with boiling water. Stir in cold water. Don’t allow to set firmly.
2. Make up custard. Transfer to bowl – cover surface.
3. Beat cream until peaks form then gently whisk into custard.
4. Sprinkle gelatine over hot water and stir until dissolved. Cool slightly and then whisk into custard.
5. Cover base of 22cm spring cake tin with jam roll.
6. Spread over custard and refrigerate for 20 minutes or until begins to set.
7. Spread fruit over custard, then spoon thickened, semi-set jelly over fruit.
8. Return to fridge for several hours or overnight.
